Focus group discussion in Tema, Ghana

Another focus group discussion was conducted in Tema, engaging local stakeholders to understand the extent of marine litter pollution and develop actionable solutions. This session built on insights from the inception tour and further explored local waste management infrastructure and policy enforcement. Discussions covered industrial and urban waste contributions to marine pollution, the role of public-private partnerships in addressing waste challenges, and possible interventions to improve local waste management practices. The findings from these sessions will inform the next steps in marine litter management, biodiversity protection, and sustainable waste solutions in the targeted areas.
